The cohort of 12 undergraduate students for the pilot program Creatives @ the Barnett has been selected! This year-long program supports the 12 “creatives” as they craft collaborative artistic expressions tied to an identified social theme. In addition to a project budget, each pair of creatives will be supported by the presence of an experienced mentor selected from the Ohio State Arts Community. The program will culminate with a public exhibition of the collaborative creative expressions in April 2024. Meet the cohort members and mentors of this exciting pilot program at the Barnett Center.
The Barnett Center’s “A Life in the Arts” series welcomes practicing artists from the Columbus area to share their insights for making a well-rounded, satisfying, and meaningful life in the arts. The initiative is designed to provide a transparent view of the lives of practicing artists in order to help our students more clearly see themselves as thriving artists here.
