Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. Karis is a fourth-year music major whose primary instrument is flute. She is pursuing both a BA in Music with a concentration in performance, and a dual degree in Studio Art. She has received various performance and artistic achievement awards and honors, including the John Philip Sousa Award, and various performances through the Wex Counterpoints series. Karis is also an active member of the Ohio State Flute Troupe, and is involved with campus ensembles and chamber groups. She is an officer in the Central Ohio Flute Association (COFA), an honorary member of Phi Kappa Lambda, and an active member of the OSU Ornithology club. In her free time, Karis enjoys biking, knitting, birding, and hiking.
