Eryn Toppin

Eryn Toppin is a young multi-talented dancer and choreographer with a love for Caribbean and Commercial dance. Eryn is from a small Caribbean Island called Barbados and is pursuing a double major in Dance and Theatre at The Ohio State University with dance as her creative focus. Eryn started dancing at 3 years of age and has grown into a well-rounded artist, achieving distinctions and merits in her Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams, Trinity College London violin exam and Gold in the Barbados National Independence Festival of the Creative Arts (NIFCA) culinary arts. Eryn started her dance journey at the Louise Woodvine Dance
Academy and The Dance Place, continued at PowerHouse Studios and currently dances with Élevé Performing Arts Center under the mentorship of the Founder and Artistic Director Tara-Jane Herbert. Eryn has performed at international and regional Dance Festivals in Sussex England, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica and has won 2 NIFCA gold awards in dance. Eryn completed her Associate Degree in Dance at the Barbados Community College with a Distinction and is now pursuing further professional dance, choreographic and theatrical training at the Ohio State University. Eryn’s creative journey is the pursuit of the consummate connection between performers and a diverse audience through choreographic works and projects that are visualized, dreamt and inspired by events that have significantly impacted her life and the lives of others.
